Birmingham bred Indie singer/songwriter Danielle “DanI” Maltimore made her soulful presence known on stage on June 4, 2011. Since then, she has captivated audiences with her infectious energy and stage presence. Whether it is R&B, Soul, or Pop, Danielle combines the very best of all genres of music with sincerity and power.
DanI began singing at eight in her church choir and as she grew, she discovered her love for music. As a former member of the UAB Gospel choir, her talents have afforded her with opportunities to travel the world under the leadership and direction of Dr. Kevin P. Turner.
In 2012, the doors of the industry opened gracefully for Danielle. She released her first single “Downside of Up” in 2012 which helped propel her scheduled performances in Jazz Lounges and Nightclubs throughout the south and mid-west. In 2013, she released her second single, “Used to Love You”, which made an impact with Internet, college, and urban radio stations all over.
Her hard work and dedication has landed her on stage as an opening act for major performing artist such as: Frankie Beverly and MAZE, Anthony Hamilton, Charlie Wilson, Calvin Richardson, Silk, Algebra, Chrisette Michele, Kenny Latimore, Mel Waiters, Bobby Rush, and the list continues to grow.
